Countdown to Graduation!

Hey guys! Life has been crazy like always!

Last week I turned 18 and had senior prom. Now the focus is finishing my high school career strong. I’ve had Senioritis since the first day of freshman year, but it is hitting me REALLY hard right now haha!

Once I graduate, I will be doing full time music! I’m soooo excited to be able to put my all into my craft and not be occupied with school at the same time!

To celebrate graduation, my best friend Ariana and I are doing a little European tour which we have been planning since we were 13! My mom is also making my favorite foods on graduation day, which I’m SUPER excited for because I don’t eat unhealthy things that often; but I think graduating high school is a great excuse to eat Mac ‘n’ cheese, chocolate gooey butter cookies, and tacos with mom’s delicious salsa!

I can’t wait to show you all what I’m working on and to share this journey with you!

Until next time…

March Madness

Life Update!

March has been a crazy month. I just got back from my mini promotional tour for my single Halfway and my favorite dance convention Art of Movement which was last weekend. On top of all that I’m still a senior in high school so keeping up with that as well has been a challenge, but it’s been soooo worth it.

This past weekend was soooo amazing and I didn’t realize how much I needed it. So some backstory… For those of you who don’t know, I was a dancer before I became a singer. I’ve been dancing since I could walk in all styles, but when I was 11 I fell in love with Hip – Hop. I went to my first convention where I met my mentor and basically my uncle Mikey Trasoras. He choreographed a hip- hop solo for me and my first competition performing it, he came and surprised me and supported me since the beginning. Years later he helped me choose the path of singing which has been the best decision I’ve ever made. The downside was dance wasn’t the priority anymore.

Meeting Mikey 7 years ago…(what shirt am I wearing?? yikes lol). (Mikey is on the right)

Dance has always been a big part of my life… really it’s been my whole life up until 4 years ago. Mikey started the dance convention Art of Movement around the time I chose to do full time singing and it’s been very successful. It’s the best dance convention EVER (I might be a little bias lol). But seriously I’ve never felt more alive and inspired to dance more than I ever have at any other convention.

I went to their stop in Mobile, Alabama this year and had the best time. I realized I need to make more time for dance because for me, it’s so therapeutic. I never wanted the weekend to end!

Until next time…

Max Rae

On the Road

Right now I’m on my mini promotional tour for my first single “Halfway” that dropped last Friday! It’s so surreal to be able to look up my name and see it on iTunes and Spotify!

Last Saturday I performed in Wisconsin for a lot of high schools in the area. The crowd was so loud and amazing, I felt so loved! Thank you to all the fans who came up to me and talked! I love getting to know you!

This week I’m in my hometown Albuquerque, New Mexico and will be doing shows here this weekend! On Saturday I will be performing with Season 15 winner of The Voice, Chevel Shepherd at 12:30 and on Sunday I’ll be doing a longer set around 11:45! I hope to see some familiar faces!

This is just the beginning!

A SUPER life update ;)

An update on what’s happening in my life, and an amazing Super Bowl recipe!

Hello beautiful people! Thanks for joining me! Life is really picking up for me. I have exactly 3 months, 2 weeks, 1 day, 6 hours (as of right now) until I graduate high school. I CAN’T WAIT to graduate! My 18th birthday is also coming up in 2 months. On the music side of things, I’m about to release my first single with a music video! In the words of Ferris Bueller…

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

I’m trying to take in and experience all the things high school has to offer before real life starts. The problem is that my life hasn’t been normal for over three years now. (That’s a subject for another blog entry, I love my abnormal life btw and wouldn’t change it for the world). So these next few months are the last time I’ll do normal things for a while. I’m going to Senior Prom with my best friend Ethan, as my date, which will be a fun way to end my high school career!

I can’t express how much I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you for following me on my journey, and I can’t wait to see where life takes me!

***Super Bowl is today and I thought I’d share my favorite pregame snack with you!

Super Easy, Super good, Buffalo Dip

(I don’t even like buffalo sauce, but this is SOOOOO GOOD!)

Ingredients

8oz cream cheese

Can of chicken breast (drain & rinse)

Franks Red Hot Sauce

Shredded cheddar jack cheese

Tortilla Chips

Directions

Spread cream cheese on bottom of tart plate or pie plate. In a medium bowl mix together hot sauce (about 8oz) & chicken. Spread chicken over cream cheese & top with cheddar jack. Sprinkle garlic salt over the top & bake @ 350 degrees until cheese is melted & bubbly (about 10-15 minutes) Scoop up with tortilla chips & enjoy!

Thank you for reading my first real entry! I’ll be posting updates every third of the month! So until next time…

XOXO,

Max Rae
